Thanks to all of you who voted for me back on 24th May 2019. It has been an extraordinary month, and I am overwhelmed by the election result.Since my election I have been joined by my colleague Grace O’Sullivan as our Green Party MEP for Ireland South and we have been working closely together, and with the European Greens/European Free Alliance group of 75 MEPs in the European Parliament. The new Parliament meets formally for the first time In Strasbourg, France on 2nd July, but already we have been over and back to Brussels meeting with our new colleagues and discussing which committees in the parliament we wish to join. The Green Group has also been in talks with the other European political parties to seek agreement on action to be more ambitious in tackling climate change over the next five years.I’m looking forward to representing Dublin, the Green Party and all of you in the European parliament over the next five years. With your help, we can provide the leadership and vision that is required to determine the future of Europe and our planet in these challenging times.Page published 23rd June 2019
