News

In a submission letter to the Phoenix Park Transport and Mobility Consultation, Green Party MEP for Dublin Ciarán Cuffe has called for a revamp of mobility and accessibility measures to the area. These include a child-friendly road crossing, a direct bus service through the park, safer and more useable cycle paths, as well as practical all-weather seating options.Ciarán Cuffe MEP said, “The Phoenix Park is a great resource for the people of Dublin city. From simple solutions such as better seating options, sensible cycle paths to a safer road crossing at Chesterfield Avenue, Phoenix Park needs to be as user friendly as we can make it. The area could also really benefit from a direct bus route through the park. This would go a long way to easing traffic congestion and improving air quality.”
